Hales Group are thrilled to be working on behalf of our client who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Finance Assistant duties will include:
- Managing Staff Expenses and payments
- Posting credit card transactions and reconciling balances
- Raising Sales and Service Invoices
- Uploading invoices to HSBC Invoice Finance
- Preparing Customer Statements
- Chasing outstanding debts for Sales and Service
- Posting cash and bank transactions/reconciling bank statements
- Printing Bank Statements
- General Purchase Ledger Housekeeping - allocating payments and obtaining missing invoices
- Assisting with Purchase Ledger support during holidays
The successful Finance Assistant will have demonstrable experience of the following:
- Strong communication skills to liaise with directors, finance teams, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel
- Holds AAT Qualification (Desirable)
- Strong experience in Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Bank reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all aspects of their work.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to learning, eager to take on new responsibilities and refine their skills. They will embrace evolving processes and be open to gradually expanding their workload as they grow within the role.
