Hales Group are delighted to be recruiting for an Export & Commercial Coordinator on behalf of a well-established and highly respected Suffolk business. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and customer-focused professional to join a busy team, supporting both export operations and commercial activities. Whether you're currently working in administration, customer service, sales support or logistics, this role offers the chance to develop valuable experience within export, supply chain and commercial operations.

About the role

Working as part of the Export and Commercial team, you'll coordinate customer orders, support international shipments, liaise with logistics partners and provide excellent service to customers across the UK and overseas. This is a varied position combining export administration, customer service, order management and commercial support.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage export orders from receipt through to delivery
  • Prepare and maintain export documentation and shipping paperwork
  • Liaise with customers, distributors, transport providers and logistics partners
  • Coordinate customer deliveries and collections
  • Process customer orders accurately through various ordering channels
  • Support key customers with enquiries, delivery updates and order administration
  • Maintain accurate customer records within CRM and ERP systems
  • Support stock allocation and product availability planning
  • Assist with forecasting activities to support customer demand
  • Monitor and process EDI orders and resolve any issues
  • Handle customer queries, requests and credit applications
  • Work closely with internal sales and transport teams to ensure excellent service levels
  • Support compliance with export procedures and international trade requirements

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience within administration, customer service, sales support, logistics or commercial operations
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Confidence using business systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team

Desirable:

  • Experience using CRM, ERP or EDI systems
  • Previous export, logistics or supply chain experience preferred
  • Knowledge of export procedures and international shipping documentation
  • Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, distribution or logistics sectors
