Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am β 5:00pm
Team Size: Working within a close-knit finance team of 4
We\βre currently recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join a well-established and growing business based in Letchworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive finance team in a company known for its positive culture and long-term career development.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively manage and collect outstanding debts, working closely with sales and production teams
Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure smooth account management
Respond to client enquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels
Ensure timely payments by providing necessary documentation (e.g., invoices, delivery notes)
Review and approve credit notes in line with internal processes
Prepare weekly debtor reports with detailed notes on customer status and actions taken
Conduct weekly meetings with the Finance Director to review receivables
Monitor bank transactions and allocate incoming funds appropriately
Vet customer orders based on credit history and payment terms
Complete documentation for credit checks, audits, and customer requests
Additional Duties:
Provide occasional cover for payroll
Order miscellaneous items for departments and handle general office admin
Support with ad hoc tasks as needed

Previous experience in credit control or credit management
