Job Overview
We are currently seeking two experienced CNC Setter Operators to join our busy machine shop on the night shift. The successful candidates will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture high-quality components in line with engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely set and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components.
- Carry out first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks.
- Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Select and set cutting tools and tooling offsets.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with company procedures and health & safety standards.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator/Setter (typically 1-3 years).
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with CNC controllers (e.g., Fanuc).
- Good understanding of cutting tools, tooling offsets, and machining processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will already be familiar with CNC machines and have experience operating them to produce components in a production environment. You will be reliable, quality-focused, and comfortable working night shifts.
