We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing and well-established business based in Bury St Edmunds. They are seeking an organised and proactive individual to support day-to-day operations, customer communication, scheduling, and administration. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to become a key part of a busy team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects, schedules, and operational activities to ensure smooth service delivery
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to manage enquiries and project requirements
- Arrange deliveries, bookings and logistics as required
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and CRM systems
- Prepare and manage operational documentation and reports
- Support stock control, ordering, and resource planning activities
- Manage shared inboxes and provide timely responses to enquiries
- Raise quotations and provide after-sales support where required
- Assist with compliance, quality, and health & safety administration/processes
- Handle manufacturer claims and all related documentation
- Provide general administrative support to the wider operations team
- Participate in internal / external meetings as requested
Requirements
- Previous experience within administration, operations support, coordination, or customer service
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive and able to work independently using initiative
- Comfortable working with systems, databases, and Microsoft Office packages
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Reliable, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a busy and supportive environment
