- Our rapidly growing client based in Biggleswade are currently looking for a
Masking Operative to join their Workshop team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.
This position has arisen due to plans to expand their site, so this could be a great opportunity for someone looking to join and exciting and thriving business.
Main duties as a Masking Operative
- Apply masking tapes, plugs, caps, and other protective materials to components prior to powder coating.
- Follow job instructions, drawings, and customer specifications to ensure correct masking requirements are met.
- Remove masking materials from finished products while maintaining coating quality and product integrity.
- Conduct visual inspections of masked and coated parts to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Support production operations by loading, unloading, and handling components safely throughout the coating process.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
What's needed as a Masking Operative
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, powder coating, or industrial environment is desirable.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed work instructions and specifications accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and commitment to safe working practices.
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to carry out repetitive tasks with precision.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
