Hales Group is currently seeking an HGV Driver to join our client based in Ufford, Woodbridge. The role involves driving and loading duties across waste management functions, in accordance with service needs. Responsibilities include operating vehicles in compliance with legislation, loading refuse, recycling, and garden waste, and maintaining health and safety standards. Additional duties involve cleansing, litter picking, bin emptying, and area sweeping.

Main Duties of HGV Driver

  1. Driving LGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicles in residential areas, with the ability to reverse and manoeuvre carefully in tricky areas.
  2. Operating the bin-lift mechanism.
  3. Loading bulky waste and conducting special collections as required.
  4. Completing daily rounds efficiently while adhering to health and safety procedures for crew and public safety.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Digital Tachograph / Smart Card
  • LGV Class 2 (Category C licence)
  • Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Physically and medically fit to undertake the role as per licence conditions

Additional Details

Location: Ufford, Woodbridge

Hours: 6am – 4.45pm

Rota: Working 4 days from 5, Monday to Friday

Pay: GBP 16.13 per hour

Duration: Temporary
