Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Stability Team Leader, conduct stability-related activities to support R&D product development for a variety of product types and classes, including registered and monograph drugs, medical devices, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and foods.
  • Design stability strategies that meet global market requirements and regulatory guidelines (e. g., ICH/WHO), including protocols for registration/pivotal, in-use, photostability, bulk stability, and freeze thaw/high temperature studies.
  • Use LIMS or an equivalent system to create and initiate stability protocols.
  • Maintain stability facilities in a compliant state and manage stability samples in the chambers.
  • Review stability data to confirm expiry/shelf life support for human use studies (e. g., sensory/clinical) for commercial launch and notify the project development team as appropriate.
  • Utilize data analysis and scientific rationale to establish expiry periods, including utilizing statistical software for trend analysis.
  • If requested, assist in the preparation of documentation such as analytical methods, trend analysis reports, and stability summary reports for regulatory submission (section 3.2.
  • Confirm atypical or out-of-specification results and participate in product investigations through root cause analysis and implementation of effective CAPAs.
  • Maintain awareness of global regulations that impact stability and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with outsourced partners to facilitate completion of external stability activities.
  • Work cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, and product development teams to ensure that technical data and documentation generated by the Stability function meet timelines and compliance requirements.
  • Basic Qualifications
