Senior Manager / Global Warehouse & Distribution Lead, part of the Global CMO and Logistics Procurement organization, will lead the W&D sourcing team, managing a global spend of £240m+ and executing sourcing strategies for in-market Warehousing and Legacy Distribution across Haleon’s supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global category strategies for W&D spend, aligning global, regional, and OU objectives while ensuring sustainability and financial reporting compliance.
- Manage a spend of £240M+ for W&D category globally.
- Create comprehensive global sourcing strategies and lead strategic sourcing initiatives to drive savings and value creation.
- Build an education & communication process for key stakeholders and serve as the global expert in the spend categories.
- Identify synergy and value creation opportunities across W&D (e. g., Leg B, Leg D) and ensure global strategies reflect Haleon’s sustainability objectives.
- Track inflation metrics and support financial reporting for annual business plans.
- Manage relationships with third‑party logistics service providers (LSPs), build strategic relationships, and lead contract negotiations and performance management.
- Deploy benchmark tools, conduct market analysis, and collaborate with QSC operations to implement improvement programs.
- Monitor global markets and regulatory developments, ensuring alignment with the Supplier Resilience Programme and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Quality, Legal, Sustainability) and influence stakeholders to support strategy development and execution.
- Lead a global team of W&D sourcing colleagues, provide mentorship, and ensure compliance with annual performance and reward cycles.
- Ensure all procurement activities follow Haleon policies, manage contracts, supplier onboarding, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in procurement or operational supply chain roles within FMCG/CPG, including food or Consumer Health/OTC.
- Area of specialisation: Procurement, Business, Supply Chain / Logistics.
- Expertise in category strategy development, stakeholder management, supplier relationship management, and supplier development.
- Strong financial acumen: cost benchmarks, financial audit, and contract management.
- Extensive logistics experience, preferably subject‑matter expertise in W&D category and 3PL operations.
- Proven ability to forge business relationships at management level, deliver year‑on‑year savings, and drive negotiation and influencing outcomes.
- Experience managing large projects, change management, and end‑to‑end service/operations management.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a high‑pressure matrix environment with tolerance for ambiguity.
