Job Purpose:
- The Warehouse and Distribution Manager is responsible for managing the relationship and performance of GBI’s 3rd party logistic service providers, including both inbound and outbound distribution. They are responsible for creating and maintaining the W&D and Inbound Freight budget and will identify continuous improvement initiatives to deliver ongoing operational and cost saving benefits
- Responsible for all GBI W&D operations including Leg B Inbound Freight, Goods Receipt, Stock Management, Picking, Loading and Leg C Outbound Distribution
- Deliver W&D KPIs (OTIF, Delivery On Time, Stock Accuracy, Inbound Receipt, Damages Tolerance)
- Creating, monitoring, and delivering the W&D and Inbound Freight budget working closely with Finance Teams on monthly accrual processes and to align on risks and opportunities
- Continuous improvement focus to deliver ongoing operation and budget benefits. Utilising root cause analysis tools to identify drivers of issues and implement long term sustainable solutions
- Deliver network changes such as new warehouse or transport providers working closely with Procurement Teams to support tender and contract extension negotiations
- Leadership and management of W&D coordinator
- Be an active member of the EMEA W&D Team to share best practices across the region
- Ensure that the W&D operation meets all required internal and external Safety and Quality Standards, including representing GBI in audits to demonstrate compliance
- Owns GBI relationship with the Global Logistics Teams and Central Functions to be aware of Haleon processes, changes and opportunities which may impact the market
- Understand interactions with other areas of the Supply Chain. Provide guidance to LSPs for prioritisation to meet business requirements and feedback within the market to support with key decision making
- Educated to degree-level with experience of supply chain and supplier management
- Strong analytical skills. Able to manage complex data sets, manage budget with ability to root cause variations and identify trends.
- Own Supplier relationship and Able to credibly represent the Haleon SC and articulate business needs to the LSP.
- Has strong understanding of the complexities of the SC, with experience in other areas of SC that can help the understand the impact of the LSP on end to end Supply metrics, and the ability to influence/collaborate with rest of supply chain
- Strong stakeholder management. Able to manage top to top stakeholders in LSP as well as internal financial and BU LT
