Senior Manager, Global Promo & Market Research reports to the Director of Global Promo & Market Research and leads category management and sourcing activities for the Promo & Market Research category globally. The role is responsible for strategy development, execution, benefit delivery, supplier relationship management, and supply chain transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global category strategies that align with regional and local market requirements.
- Manage a spend of £20m+ and create comprehensive global sourcing strategies.
- Educate and communicate with regional and business unit procurement leads.
- Ensure global strategies incorporate Haleon’s sustainability and diversity objectives.
- Deliver financial benefits in accordance with the Procurement Plan and Savings Methodology.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key global suppliers and lead contract planning, negotiation and performance management.
- Lead operational excellence initiatives to improve supplier KPIs.
- Transform the supply chain to enhance cost control, simplify processes and improve responsiveness.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of operational procurement experience across multiple categories.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Procurement, Business, Finance, Supply Chain or Marketing.
- Proficiency with procurement tools such as sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review, and supplier development.
- Experience in category strategy development, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management.
- Strong knowledge of finance (cost benchmarking, supplier audit) and legal matters (contracting).
- Ability to work in a matrixed global/regional environment.
- Excellent networking, leadership and change management skills.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication with influencing ability.
- Ability to prioritise multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
- Experience with risk management and willingness to coach, mentor and train others.
