The Security Culture and Awareness Lead provides strategic leadership in shaping Haleon’s human risk management strategy, with a focus on embedding secure behaviours and cultivating a resilient security culture across the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, this role is responsible for aligning behavioural risk initiatives with Haleon’s enterprise cyber security posture and broader business objectives. This role leads the development of enterprise-wide strategies and programmes that embed secure behaviours, foster a strong security culture, and mitigate human-related cyber risks. It requires a deep understanding of behavioural science, organisational change, and cyber risk, combined with the ability to influence at senior levels and drive measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and evolve the human risk management strategy, ensuring it is embedded across business units and aligned with enterprise risk priorities.
- Programme Oversight: Govern the design, delivery, and evaluation of behavioural interventions, awareness campaigns, and cultural change initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leaders across functions (e.g. HR, Legal, D&T, Communications) to integrate secure behaviours into business processes and decision-making.
- Insight-Driven Decision Making: Leverage behavioural data, risk metrics, and cultural diagnostics to inform strategy and measure impact.
- Governance & Reporting: Establish governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms to monitor behavioural risk and programme effectiveness. Develop and maintain strong partnerships in external forums and contribute to the advancement of human-centric cyber security practices. Expected to stay informed on competitor approaches and emerging best practices, integrating these insights into Haleon’s human risk management programme.

Qualifications and Skills
- High level of interpersonal skill and influence.
- Experienced in a role focused on behaviour change, organisational culture, cyber security awareness, or employee engagement.
- Experience applying behavioural science or change management frameworks (e.g., COM-B, ADKAR, Nudge Theory).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as cyber/information security, psychology/behavioural science, engineering or communications.
