Role Description:
The Security Behaviour & Culture Specialist plays a pivotal role in advancing Haleon’s human risk strategy by proactively addressing the behavioural factors that influence our cyber security posture. This role is key to designing and delivering forward-thinking initiatives that encourage secure behaviours, strengthen our security culture, and reduce human-related cyber risks across the organisation. Working collaboratively across business functions, the Specialist applies behavioural insights and data to shape practical, engaging interventions that align with Haleon’s broader strategic objectives and anticipate emerging risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Risk Strategy and Culture Change:
- Support the delivery of targeted initiatives that address behavioural risks and promote secure working practices.
- Help embed secure behaviours into day-to-day operations across all levels of the organisation.
Engagement and awareness:
- Design and deliver engaging campaigns, events, and communications that raise cyber security awareness.
- Apply behavioural science techniques (e.g., nudging, gamification, storytelling) to influence positive security behaviours.
- Tailor messaging and interventions to suit different roles, functions, and risk profiles
Training and enablement
- Collaborate on the development of training materials including e-learning, videos, and workshops.
- Support and grow the security ambassador network by providing informal guidance and resources to build local capability.
Measurement and Improvement
- Maintain a register of key human risks, including behavioural patterns and knowledge gaps.
- Analyse behavioural data and cultural maturity metrics to assess impact and identify areas for improvement
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to enhance programme effectiveness.
Cross funtional collaboration
- Work closely with HR, Communications, Digital & Tech, and other stakeholders to align and integrate security culture initiatives.
- Stay up to date with Emerging trends in Cyber security, behavioural Science and Organisational change. Applying new insights to strengthen program delivery
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- 3 years of experience in a role focused on behaviour change, organisational culture, cyber security awareness, or employee engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as cyber/information security, psychology/behavioural science, engineering or communications.
- Professional certification in human risk management, cyber security, or related fields, such as SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP), Infosec Certified Security Awareness Practitioner (CSAP), NICCS Certified Cybersecurity Awareness Professional (CCAP), CISSP, CISM
- While certifications are not mandatory, a demonstrable commitment to professional development in cyber security human risk management or behavioural change is expected.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the following disciplines
- Behavioural Science or Psychology
- Cyber Security or Information Security
- Communications, Learning & Development, or Organisational Change
- A master’s degree in a related field is desirable but not essential.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within a mid-to-large organisation.
- Experience applying behavioural science or change management frameworks (e.g., COM-B, ADKAR, Nudge Theory).
