Role Overview

Haleon is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager, Global Media to join our Global Procurement team and play a pivotal role in shaping, deploying, and embedding global media procurement strategies that drive value, transparency, innovation, and business impact across our media investments. This is a senior role that goes beyond traditional sourcing. You will be expected to develop category strategies, translate them into practical implementation plans, influence senior stakeholders, and lead complex cross-functional initiatives across global, regional, and local teams. Operating at the intersection of Procurement, Marketing, Digital, Finance, and our agency ecosystem, you will ensure Haleon’s media investments are commercially optimised, strategically aligned, and future‑ready, while strengthening governance, capability, and decision‑making across a complex global matrix organisation.

In this role you will…

  • be accountable for developing and implementing global media procurement strategies within your area of spend, creating the strategic foundation and direction for regional category strategies and BU execution plans.
  • work closely with Marketing, Finance, Digital, regional procurement teams, and business units to ensure strategies are commercially robust, globally consistent, locally relevant, and effectively embedded across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & Partner Selection
    • Lead complex end-to-end sourcing and category transformation initiatives, typically with multi-market and/or global scope, across:
    • Media platforms and planning tools
    • Ad tech, data, verification and measurement partners (e.g. brand safety, attention, optimisation)
    • Design and execute strategic sourcing processes, RFPs/RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and implementation plans that balance value, quality, innovation, risk, and speed of adoption
    • Ensure selected partners deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and value
    • Shape and embed global media strategy and sourcing principles across regions and business units, ensuring alignment with Haleon priorities and local market realities
    • Lead implementation through a global matrix, setting clear governance, decision rights, stakeholder engagement plans, and adoption measures
  • Non‑Working Media & Innovation Fund Management
    • Support governance and oversight of non‑working media spend, including innovation and capability funds
    • Validate commercial structures, pricing, and value delivery
    • Track outcomes and business impact to enable scaling of successful initiatives
    • Partner with Marketing and agency teams to ensure disciplined, value‑focused investment
  • Supplier Performance & Relationship Insights
    • Lead the agency / client satisfaction survey process end‑to‑end
    • Translate results into clear insights, risks, and improvement actions
    • Monitor supplier performance and support structured continuous improvement plans
    • Provide transparency and insight into agency and partner relationships
  • Media Sustainability (Key Focus Area)
    • Champion media sustainability within Procurement
    • Identify opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of media investments
    • Collaborate with Marketing and partners to influence more sustainable practices
    • Track progress, bring external benchmarks, and support reporting and capability building
  • Scope of Work (SOW) & Commercial Transparency
    • Support the development and deployment of a standardised Scope of Work framework
    • Build and maintain a central repository of agency scopes, pricing, and resource models
    • Enable cross‑market benchmarking and commercial business intelligence
    • Increase visibility into agency deliverables, resourcing, and cost structures
  • Data, Analytics & Insights
    • Analyse media spend and supplier data to identify optimisation opportunities
    • Build benchmarks, dashboards, and insight packs to support fact‑based decision‑making
    • Provide commercial and analytical input to senior stakeholders and governance forums

What Success Looks Like

  • Global media procurement strategies are developed, aligned, and implemented with clear business impact and measurable value creation
  • Strong, insight‑led supplier performance and relationship management
