Role purpose

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead Haleon’s Advisory Services category. The Senior Manager part of the Global Indirect Professional Services Procurement organization will be responsible for all category management and sourcing activities for the Advisory Services category globally. This role will report to the Director, Corporate Services.

In this role you will...
  • Be responsible for the development and implementation of global category strategies which will form the strategic foundation and direction of all spend sourcing strategy in the respective Operating Units (OU).
  • Manage a spend of ~£70m on advisory/consulting services.
  • Develop and execute global category strategies to deliver scalable, commercially sound solutions, ensuring global and regional considerations are accounted for.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand demand, shape requirements, and translate business needs into clear sourcing strategies and outcomes-based engagement models.
  • Conduct market and industry analysis using data, benchmarking, and insights to identify trends, improvements opportunities and provide clear evidence-based recommendations.
  • Optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency, governance, and cost-effectiveness across regions while balancing global consistency with local needs.
Benefit delivery
  • Deliver benefits identified in strategies through effective and collaborative strategy execution, aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), quality, service, cost and innovation.
  • Ensure financial benefits are managed in accordance with the category strategy and savings methodology approach, ensuring Business and Finance agreement to financial value delivered and transparency on treatment of benefits in the budgeting process.
Business partnering & stakeholder management in Haleon
  • Strong change management and communication skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
External supplier relationships
  • Build strategic relationships with key suppliers and lead processes to ensure value is driven from these relationships.
  • Lead all contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance with global suppliers that will allow Haleon to maximize opportunity.
  • Drive QBRs to manage supplier performance and deliverables — establishing KPIs to drive competition, quality, efficiency, and innovation.
Supply chain & risk management
  • Ensure suppliers are managed against their third party risks effectively.
  • Develop and Implement Operational excellence strategies and plans for key global suppliers to drive improvements against KPIs.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience leading procurement/category management for Advisory/Consulting spend.
  • Strong sourcing, negotiation, and contracting experience (RFPs, rate cards, MSAs/SOWs, supplier selection).
  • Project management experience in cross-functional environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate insights from data (spend analytics, benchmarking, supplier performance metrics).
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of operational Procurement experience across multiple categories.
  • Excellent knowledge of Procurement tools such as sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review, supplier development and others.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing categories, particularly category strategy development and implementation, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management.
  • In-depth understanding of external environment and supplier relationship models.
  • Strong knowledge of finance (cost benchmark, financial audit with key suppliers) and legal matters (contracting).
  • Clear understanding of business value, business priorities, and potential implementation risks.
  • Significant experience working in a matrix (global/ regional) business environment.
  • Strong networking skills and a proven ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders and business partners.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across multiple projects using project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communications, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in high pressure environment, often under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with risk management.
  • Motivation for professional development and willingness to coach, mentor and train others.
