About the role

The Global Category ComEx Out to Execute Manager (OTC) drives the integration of commercial excellence into the category strategies, ensuring customer and shopper centricity, effective sales planning and capabilities to deliver sustainable category growth through commercial initiatives.

Role Responsibilities

  • Actively support the Global Category Comex Director in defining the commercial element of the category strategy.
  • Champion the 'Voice of the Customer' within the category, embedding customer-centric insights into Category strategies and initiatives to drive sustainable growth.
  • Input category-specific strategies into ComEx-wide priorities & guidance, reflecting category growth plans onto ComEx blueprints in the omnichannel environment.
  • Coordinate with Global Category ComEx Directors to drive the definition and approval of global commercial planning frameworks, metrics, and guidance, ensuring alignment with IGP and category strategies.
  • Creation and management of Retailer facing content supporting Sales and ComEx teams.
  • Collaborating with OUs & Markets and Global teams to ensure effective implementation of commercial planning frameworks, tooling and alignment with category strategies.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in commercial excellence and category management, within a large consumer health or FMCG organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion the 'Voice of the Customer' and embed customer-centric insights into commercial strategies and planning.
  • Experience in defining, approving, and delivering commercial inputs into enterprise-wide planning cadences (e.g., ABP) and category-specific forums.
  • Strong collaborative leadership skills, with experience coordinating across global teams and other functional leaders to define and implement strategic frameworks.
  • Experience within the OTC category or a closely related health and consumer goods sector.
  • Experience across different market archetypes (e.g Distributor-led, Customer-led) and channels (digital commerce, pharmacy, modern trade) is preferred.
