About the role

The role of the IBP Process Expert is to support the roll out and maintenance of global integrated business planning (IBP) practices and processes. This role helps to ensure adherence to process standards by the teams in markets and planning hubs who run the monthly IBP cycle. It acts as an advocate for process excellence and continuous improvement and works with key stakeholders within QSC, Finance and Commercial to support global processes, drive standards, and champion a continuous improvement mindset to evolve process where needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the supply chain network and neighbouring functions as needed to manage business rules, standard policies, and procedures for processes, data, and services.
  • Process Management & Health: Put in place process monitoring (audits), track adherence to standards (process governance approach) in managing the monthly integrated business planning and S&OP cycles. Draw conclusions and make recommendations to drive harmonisation.
  • Documentation and Support Materials: Ongoing development and maintenance of process design documentation, including Global Standard Operating Procedures (GSOPs), training and education materials, and supporting resources such as best practice guides.
  • Business Requirements and Simplification: Support the IBP architect in analysing business requirements, exploring system design options and assessing proposed changes, feasibility, and business benefits. Identify further opportunities for simplification.
  • Template Adoption and Standardization: Establish means to monitor template (system) adoption and drive the business toward common, standardized global solutions where applicable.
  • Process Expert Community Engagement: Support the appropriate engagement forums such as the “Community of Practice” and actively contribute to the growth and maturity of the community across the globe.
  • CapabilityBuilding: Develop content in playbook, references, training curricula. Support continuous improvement in capability cross-functionally.
  • Process Enhancement Recommendations: Support recommendations for process improvements through analysis tracking and tools. Provide self-assessment tools for improvements, support continuous improvement initiatives, act as change agent.
  • Technology Assessment: Support evaluation of new technology opportunities in the marketplace and assess their impact on Integrated Business planning processes, coupled with any impacts on adjacent processes (DP, SP).
  • Benchmarking and Efficiency: Support benchmarking vs. peers to validate advancements in process, tech and data.

Role Dimensions

  • Global Operations: The role operates globally.
  • Collaboration across the enterprise: Involves collaboration, especially with planners in markets and hubs, with some cross-functional global functions within QSC and finance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engages with stakeholders across various organizational layers, mainly associates and director levels. This role helps the CoE foster collaboration and drive success across organizational boundaries

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • University degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental supply chain theories, principles and concepts.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience directly in a Supply Chain planning function, in a comparable consumer industry, and capable of thinking both strategically and at process specific levels.

Preferred

  • Effective Communicator : Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, both written and verbal and to a diverse set of stakeholders, from end users to director level.
  • Technical Simplification: Demonstrates experience in analysing business processes, identifying efficiency and improvement opportunities, and simplifying technically complex areas. Collaborates effectively with both business and technical resources to achieve desired process outcomes.
  • Influence and Stakeholder Management: Demonstrates competency in influencing and conflict resolution. Robust in definition of business cases for organizational change.
  • Industry Knowledge: Exposure to several sectors, especially Consumer Goods and/or Consumer Healthcare.
  • Business Acumen: Understands critical elements and the operations of the business (business needs and requirements) at both a business unit (BU) and a planner level, to be able to decipher needs appropriately and effectively apply a global standard to requirements.
