The Internal Communications Manager will support the Head of Corporate Affairs for Haleon's Europe OU, shaping the employee experience across Europe. This role leads internal communications at the OU level and supports delivery across markets and clusters, embedding the new Operating Model and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute initiatives to connect, engage and inspire employees across the Europe OU, keeping them informed of overall business objectives and inspiring necessary culture changes as part of our new Operating Model (e.g., Town Halls, Newsletter, Viva Engage, etc.).
  • Ensure in‐country internal communications alignment with Haleon branding and Win as One framework and narrative.
  • In partnership with cluster CA teams, manage internal, in‐country communications channels, proactively identify gaps and solutions to ensure the right channel mix to deliver up‐to‐date and relevant information to the local audience; develop and implement new, innovative channels and tactics as appropriate.
  • Partner with Quality and Supply Chain site champions and site leads on internal communication strategies to build an inclusive culture and connection between the Europe OU and its manufacturing sites.
  • Partner with the Global Internal Communications team to provide content suggestions for pull‐through on global channels.
  • Partner with brand teams to assist in internal pull‐through plans for external PR campaigns.
  • Use metrics and insights to ensure communication strategies are effectively tailored to the Europe OU needs.
  • Manage external vendors where appropriate to ensure delivery of agreed objectives on time and on budget.
  • Implement and execute communication plans for numerous Europe OU initiatives independently, on time and on budget.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong expertise, experience and confidence to plan, counsel on and deliver communications to manage or mitigate issues and their associated reputational impact.
  • Ability to operate calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, providing straight talk, counsel, support and challenge as required.
  • Strong strategic thinking, execution and business acumen; sound judgment; able to deal with ambiguity and handle sensitive situations.
  • Experience working in a global matrixed organization across cultures and geographically dispersed teams; strong ability to prioritize.
  • Proven ability to influence others at both peer and senior levels; excellent stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication skills—compelling storytelling, high‐quality writing, sensitivity to cultural nuances, strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, flexible, resilient and self‐motivated; able to work autonomously or in a team.
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced communications qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in at least a manager position in communications within the healthcare or FMCG industry.
  • Proven ability to develop trust‐based relationships with senior stakeholders and influence top management.
  • Experience with issues/crisis‐management, ideally related to employee/workplace issues.
  • Excellent oral, written and visual communication skills, and excellent listening skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Strong capability in managing a changing business environment and ambiguity.
