About the role: The Global Internal Communications Team leads the development and delivery of the company‐wide internal communication strategy. In this role you will support the Global Head of Internal Communications by providing strategic advice, developing and delivering internal communication plans for functions, supporting transformation agendas, creating high‐quality content, and enhancing employee engagement across Haleon.
Role and Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic communication partner to function stakeholders, offering strategic advice and supporting internal communication strategy development and delivery.
- Build strong relationships with functional teams, understand their strategies and priorities, and anticipate communication needs for timely delivery.
- Advise on best practices and collaborate with stakeholders on execution.
- Collaborate with global internal communications colleagues on enterprise‐wide messages that emerge from functional initiatives.
- Create compelling colleague engagement campaigns to build pride, belief in Haleon, and support business objectives.
- Maintain oversight of overlapping, gap or risk areas by coordinating with the Senior Manager – Functions and other team members.
- Measure and evaluate communication effectiveness and drive continuous improvement to achieve objectives.
- Develop impactful storytelling content, including leadership messages, announcements and briefings, tailored to employee audiences.
- Generate diverse internal communication content and tools, enabling functions to adapt material as needed.
- Support HET members in managing internal and external social profiles on Viva Engage and LinkedIn, in partnership with Global Communications.
- Partner with Global Internal Communications to ensure integrated and aligned use of internal channels.
- Manage functional content across internal channels, ensuring timely, accurate and well‐presented outputs.
- Adhere to channel strategies, templates and governance, while providing feedback for improvement.
- Adapt communications for different channels and formats when required.
- Contribute to shared tools, templates and ways of working within Global Internal Communications and the Corporate Affairs function.
- Support a collaborative, high‐performing team environment.
Essential Experience
- Strong knowledge and experience of internal communications and engagement.
- Experience in a business‐partnering role.
- Comfortable working in a fast‐moving, dynamic environment with fluctuating demands.
- Experience developing and delivering internal communication and engagement strategies with robust measurement.
- Excellent verbal, written and editing skills; ability to produce clear, engaging and effective content.
- Strong stakeholder‐management and influencing skills; proven ability to advise all levels to achieve outcomes.
- Ability to build strong networks and relationships.
- Good judgement, able to operate under pressure and manage complex issues.
- Good organisational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Positive, can‐do attitude and a real team player.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in a global/consumer/FTSE100 organisation.
- Experience in a global‐facing role.
- Familiarity with internal communication channels and tools.
