The Global Internal Communications Team leads the development and successful delivery of the company-wide internal communication strategy. Driving internal communications at a group level and supporting functional Executive Team members with a key focus on building colleague engagement with Haleon’s ambitions, priorities, leadership and company culture.
In this role you will support the Global Head of Internal Communications in executing all aspects of Haleon’s global internal communications and engagement strategy, with a particular focus on global HR communications. As well as supporting the Senior Manager on the strategy, governance, and performance of the organisation’s internal communication channels, measurement, and insights.
Role and Responsibilities- Communications strategy and planning: Be a strategic communications partner to HR stakeholders providing strategic communications advice, supporting the development and delivery of internal communications strategies. Advise on best practice communications and work with HR stakeholders on execution. Work with global internal communications colleagues on enterprise-wide communications coming out of the functions, as appropriate. Develop and deliver compelling colleague engagement campaigns to build pride and belief in Haleon and our company culture and to support business objectives. Ensure robust measurement and evaluation of communications and campaigns to drive ongoing improvements and deliver against set goals and outcomes.
- Storytelling: Drive employee engagement through impactful and effective storytelling including writing and editing high-quality internal content such as leadership messages, announcements, briefings, and other materials. Understand key audiences and ensure communications are appropriately tailored and adapted for employee audiences. Create a wide range of internal communications content and tools that are relevant to the broader business and can be used/tailored by individual functions.
- Channels: Work with the Senior Manager to own and continuously evolve the global internal communications channels ecosystem (e.g. Viva Engage, email, Intranet, Line Manager communications). Input into the global internal communications channel strategy, standards, and editorial governance to ensure clarity of purpose, consistency, and employee-centric design. Act as an advisor on which channels, when, and how to communicate for maximum impact. Partner with D&T to enhance channel functionality and employee experience. Adapt communications and content for different channels and formats as required.
- Measurement, insights & effectiveness: Work with the Senior Manager to develop and own a global internal communications measurement framework aligned to business and people priorities. Track and analyse channel performance, engagement data, and employee feedback to inform decision-making. Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for the Global Internal Communications Team and stakeholders. Produce clear dashboard and reporting that demonstrate impact, outcomes and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration and team contribution: Work closely with the Senior Manager, Global Head of Internal Communications Team and wider global Internal Communications Team to ensure a consistent approach across functions. Contribute to shared tools, templates and ways of working – not only across Global Internal Communications but the wider Global Communications Team and Corporate Affairs function. Support a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Strong knowledge of and experience of internal communications communication and engagement.
- Proven track record of managing internal communication channels and knowledge of digital workplace tools, intranets, and employee engagement platforms.
- Demonstrated experience operating internal communications measurement frameworks, including defining success metrics, analysing engagement and sentiment data and using insights to influence decision-making.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment with fluctuating and changing demands.
- Experience of developing and delivering internal communications and engagement strategies including robust measurement.
- Strong verbal and written and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging and effective content.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with a proven ability to operate in an advisory capacity with all levels to achieve good outcomes.
- Ability to build strong networks and relationships.
- Good judgement, with the ability to operate effectively under pressure and manage complex issues.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Experience working in a global/consumer/Experience of global-facing role desirable.
