Halecroft Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, a busy operations business based in Wythenshawe, which is seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, forklift experience, and a knack for organising daily warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team by example, ensuring smooth day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Oversee and coordinate inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer movements.
- Conduct and supervise daily checks on FLT Counterbalance vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and warehouse records.
- Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and team communication to keep operations running smoothly.
- Organise and manage multiple yard operations simultaneously.
- Report regularly to the Operations Manager on performance, challenges, and progress.
- Be a key holder and respond to out-of-hours calls as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience with FLT Counterbalance forklifts and knowledge of daily vehicle checks.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple operations within a dynamic yard environment.
Desirable:
- Experience in the waste/recycling industry.
- Health and Safety qualifications, including fire safety awareness.
