We’re seeking an HR Officer to join our clients team in Irlam. You’ll work closely with the HR Manager to ensure seamless HR operations and support the management team across recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, and more.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and integrate top talent.
- Employee Relations: Support a positive workplace culture, handling ER cases, long-term sick leave, OH referrals, and union communications.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate HR records, manage payroll input, benefits, TMS & HRIS systems.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure compliance with HR legislation and ethical audit standards, assisting in policy updates and line manager support.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion through training and internal comms.
- Learning & Development: Help identify training needs, manage the LMS, support training delivery, and track ROI.
- Engagement & Culture: Play a key role in achieving and maintaining accreditations and strengthening employee engagement.
- CIPD qualified
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HR role, ideally within an FMCG environment
- Experience with unions is a plus
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills (Word, Excel)
- Confident communicator able to build relationships across all levels
- Organised, adaptable, and solutions-focused
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Benefits
Location: Irlam (Hybrid – Minimum 3 days in the office)
Hours: 37.5 per week
