We are currently looking for a Solar Installer to join our team. We are a Heating & Plumbing company, primarily covering Swansea and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of solar panel systems on residential and commercial properties
  • Dig trenches and install conduit for electrical wiring
  • Mount solar panels on roofs or other structures using power tools
  • Connect solar panels to electrical systems, ensuring proper wiring and functionality
  • Perform routine maintenance on existing solar panel systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair any issues or malfunctions with solar panel systems
  • Adhere to safety protocols and follow all relevant regulations during installation and maintenance processes

Requirements

  • Previous experience in electrical work or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to use power tools, hand tools, and other equipment required for installation
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working at heights
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Flexitime
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Experience

  • Installation: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • City & Guilds 2399-01 Level 3 Install, Testing, & Compliance (required)
  • BPEC Level 3 of Install and Maintenance of Solar Pv systems (required)
