CNC Programmer .

  • Your responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain CNC programmes using Alpha CAM
  • Create efficient CNC milling programmes for both horizontal and vertical machining centres
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications and 3D solid models and develop work holding solutions
  • Select appropriate tooling, cutting speeds and feeds to optimise machining performance
  • Manufacture components to tight tolerances
  • Collaborate closely with Production and Engineering teams to improve machining processes, increase efficiency and resolve technical challenges
  • Create, maintain and optimise CNC programmes for a range of machining centres
  • Assist the Machine Shop Supervisor with day-to-day operational activities as required
  • Review, update and continuously improve existing CNC programmes to enhance productivity, quality and machining efficiency

Your profile

  • Demonstrated experience in CNC programming, with a strong background in CNC milling and machining operations
  • Proficiency in offline programming using CAD/CAM package and confidence in supporting shop-floor machining activities
  • Ability to analyse complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a hands-on approach and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience in precision engineering and familiarity with ERP systems would be beneficial, although training will be provide
  • 4 day working week with Fridays off (37,5 hours per week)
