Working arrangement: In office, Altrincham
Hale & Hawthorn is a growing, technology-enabled law firm with an ambition to deliver legal services differently: combining excellent legal expertise, outstanding client service and intelligent automation. We're based in Altrincham, South Manchester, and are looking for an experienced, commercially minded Employment Paralegal to join our expanding Employment Settlement Agreement (ESA) service.
This is a varied, client-facing role combining legal knowledge, client relationship management and negotiation.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as a principal point of contact for clients, handling enquiries and guiding them through the instruction and onboarding process.
- Building confidence and trust through clear, empathetic communication.
- Negotiating amendments to settlement agreements with employers, within agreed parameters and under solicitor supervision.
- Coordinating matters to ensure clients receive a responsive, efficient and professional service.
- Helping us improve processes, client experiences and the use of automation and technology.
What we're looking for:
- Experience as an employment law paralegal, ideally involving settlement agreements.
- Sound legal knowledge and commercial judgement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and employers.
- A genuine interest in technology, AI and improving how legal services are delivered.
- We're particularly interested in someone who enjoys working with people, takes ownership of problems and wants to help build something better than a traditional legal service.
