Bench Joiner – Haldane UK

We’re looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and self‑motivated Bench Joiner to join our manufacturing team at Haldane (UK) Ltd in Glenrothes. The role is permanent and offers competitive DOE salary with 255 hours of annual holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Work to deadlines and under pressure
• Work both on your own and as part of a team
• Provide a quality finished product
• Be organised and methodical
• Operating woodworking machinery, using hand tools and assisting wood machinists occasionally
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Excellent hand skills and an eye for detail

Requirements

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Bench Joinery or Architectural Joinery
• Minimum 2 years experience working in a joinery workshop
• Finishing and jointing of timber handrail components
• Operating woodworking machinery
• Using hand tools
• Assisting wood machinists occasionally
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Excellent hand skills and an eye for detail
• Ability to work from 2D and 3D drawings
• Ability to follow Health & Safety policies

Desirable

• Be familiar with timber types
• Driving licence

Working Hours

Mon – Thu 07:30 – 16:30, Fri 07:30 – 12:30. Overtime may be required when necessary.
