We are currently seeking a professional and safety-focused HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver with Lorry-Mounted Crane (HIAB) experience to join our transport team. This role is critical to ensuring our customers receive their orders safely, on time, and to the high standards for which Haldane Group is known. You will be a key ambassador for the business, delivering building materials to customer sites across Northern Ireland while providing an excellent level of customer service at every delivery point.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver customer orders safely, efficiently, and professionally using an HGV Class 2 vehicle fitted with a lorry-mounted crane.
- Operate the HIAB crane safely and in line with current lifting regulations, risk assessments, and company procedures.
- Carry out daily and weekly vehicle and crane checks, reporting any defects promptly to the Transport Office.
- Drive in a professional and legal manner, strictly complying with driver hours regulations and digital/manual tachograph requirements.
- Ensure vehicles, crane equipment, and products are protected at all times during transit and offloading.
- Load and secure goods correctly, ensuring compliance with road traffic regulations.
- Maintain a professional standard of dress, conduct, and customer interaction at all times.
- Complete deliveries efficiently, following routing instructions and undertaking back-loads as directed.
- Ensure all deliveries are accompanied by the correct paperwork, with delivery notes completed and returned promptly.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations.
