Key Hardware is one of Ireland's leading wholesale distributors of architectural ironmongery and builders' hardware products. Based at our site in Belfast, a full‑time opportunity has arisen within the Warehouse Department for a Warehouse Operative. This position is for someone looking to develop their existing skills or learn new ones that will equip them for a career within one of the leading wholesale distributors of architectural ironmongery and hardware products.
Key Responsibilities
- Create orders to meet customer requirements
- Deal with all supplier goods in and returns
- Ensure that all deliveries are accompanied by the appropriate paperwork
- Off‑load and load supplier and customer distribution vehicles
- Advise the Warehouse Manager on any issues with stock levels and quality
- General housekeeping of the department to ensure all products are adequately stocked in a clean and presentable manner
- Ensure that every effort is made to secure the health and safety of both oneself and those affected by your acts or omissions
What do you need to be successful?
- Experience of working in a warehouse environment
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of ironmongery and hardware products
- Strong customer service & communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales
- Forklift licence or willingness to obtain
