Key Hardware is one of Ireland's leading wholesale distributors of architectural ironmongery and builders' hardware products. Based at our site in Belfast, a full-time opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic and have a willingness to learn and develop new skills that will equip them for a successful career within a continuously growing company.
Key responsibilities for the role of Operations Manager will include:
- Lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team to achieve branch KPIs.
- Use data analysis to monitor performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements that enhance productivity, accuracy, and service levels.
- Actively co-ordinate & assist in daily warehouse duties including picking orders, loading, unloading, goods inwards, stock checking.
- Oversee warehouse operations including goods in/out, customer loading, and site tidiness.
- Manage stock levels, rotation, and quality control.
- Manage & maintain health & safety standards across the site.
- Manage transport and logistics operations, including vehicle/driver compliance.
- Monitor and report on branch performance, identifying areas for improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in operations or warehouse management, ideally in a merchant or trade environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of ironmongery products (preferred).
- Forklift licence and experience (preferred).
- A hands-on, adaptable approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Commitment to health & safety and operational excellence.
