Key Hardware is a well-established ironmongery and hardware supplier based in Duncrue, Belfast. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to support the efficient day-to-day operation of our warehouse and yard facilities. As Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a central role in supporting the Warehouse Manager, ensuring stock is handled efficiently, safely, and accurately, while maintaining high operational standards and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse and yard activities, including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, loading, and despatch.
- Organise the picks via an order management system.
- Ensure accurate receipt of deliveries by checking quantities and condition against delivery documentation.
- Maintain stock accuracy through regular stock checks and investigation of discrepancies.
- Support timely and efficient fulfilment of branch and customer orders.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, and support to warehouse and yard colleagues.
- Liaise with branch staff, transport providers, suppliers, and purchasing teams to support smooth operations.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably required to support warehouse and business needs.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse or yard.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and improve processes.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workload and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional weekends if required.
- Current counterbalance forklift licence (reach licence desirable).
Desirable Criteria
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
- Knowledge of ironmongery, hardware, or building supplies.
- Experience using stock management or warehouse systems.
