Business Development Manager Plumbmaster Join a Leading Timber & Builders' Merchant Haldane Fisher is a well-established and respected timber and builder's merchant, known for innovation, quality, and excellent customer service. Job Purpose Win and grow profitable new business across the trade, building long-term customer relationships and developing the branch customer base. As a customer-facing role, the post-holder is an ambassador for Haldane Group and is expected to represent the brand positively at every interaction - in person, by telephone and in writing. What you'll be doing * Identify, target and convert new business. * Grow existing accounts and share of spend. * Represent the business at customer sites. * Feedback market intelligence. * Professional, courteous and solution-focused communication with trade, merchant and retail customers, presenting a smart, approachable and knowledgeable image at all times. * Sound knowledge of the relevant timber and merchanting product range, with the ability to advise customers accurately and recognise sales and service opportunities. * Essential * Field business-development experience. * Able to meet the health & safety, legislative and competency prerequisites for the role, including any required licences, tickets, training and Opus SMS responsibilities. * Valid driving licence and good record.
