A major timber importer, processor, and distributor known for supplying highâquality timber and panel products to the construction and manufacturing sectors throughout the UK.
What You'll Do
- Engage with trade customers â providing advice, answering queries, and ensuring every caller receives a firstâclass service.
- Drive sales performance by identifying customer needs, recommending suitable products, and promoting addâon or alternative solutions.
- Proactively follow up on enquiries and quotations to maximise sales opportunities and build lasting customer relationships.
- Work to agreed sales targets and KPI benchmarks, ensuring personal and branch performance is consistently strong.
- Use a computerised stock and sales system to process orders, check availability, and maintain accurate customer records.
- Handle transactions professionally and accurately.
- Stay up to date with product knowledge, market trends, and promotions to enhance the customer experience.
- Support general branch operations, ensuring the office is organised, energised, and efficient.
What You Need (Essential)
- Experience in an internal sales or customer service function
- A confident communicator with a strong customerâfirst mindset
- Motivated and targetâdriven, with the ability to work towards KPIs
- A team player who can also work independently when required
- Knowledge of timber or a willingness to learn
- Strong IT skills, proficient in order processing in an ERP system
