This role is based at our Makerfield site and is responsible for maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient yard environment. You will support daily operations through the safe handling, movement, and storage of materials, playing a key role in ensuring stock is controlled accurately and customers receive excellent service. The Yard Operative is essential in ensuring vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely, the yard runs smoothly, and all health and safety standards are upheld. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a busy, outdoor environment.
What You’ll Do
- Pick and prepare orders to meet customer requirements
- Assist and serve customers visiting the Makerfield site
- Support yard colleagues with loading customer and company vehicles
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the yard and work areas
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures at all times
