Backed by a team of seasoned industry professionals, the company is dedicated to delivering first‑class services to the chemical industry. With extensive industry experience, the organisation plays a vital role in supporting businesses by providing specialised tanker transportation services.

We are looking for an experienced and detail‑oriented Payroll Accountant to join our Finance team. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely collation and processing of payroll, ensuring full compliance with UK payroll legislation and providing excellent support to employees across the business. We are looking for candidates who have an in‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel. You will be responsible for providing detailed analysis of payroll information to support Operations and Finance functions to report on company contracts.

Please note that successful candidates will be required to complete a pre‑employment screening including a DBS Check (paid by the company).

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in payroll
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and formulas including handling and analysing large, complex sets of data
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Curiosity with confidence to question and challenge
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion

You would be joining the team working in our office from Industrial Chemicals Ltd, Port Clarence in Middlesbrough. We have a friendly and supportive culture where all opinions are valued. We work hard, but every day is different and very rewarding.
