This is an on-site, five-days-a-week role, based in Hakkasan Mayfair but travelling across our London sites. It is ideal for a hands-on trainer who thrives in the heart of operations — supporting teams directly on the floor, in the restaurant, and throughout the guest journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver an operations-focused training strategy aligned to business goals.
- Conduct training needs analyses and produce quarterly training calendars.
- Design and update training programmes across brand standards, service excellence and compliance (including 1Huddle).
- Facilitate on-site, hands-on training, including onboarding, skills coaching, and practical service workshops.
- Deliver blended learning (classroom, bite-size, on-the-job and virtual sessions) across multiple venues.
- Work closely with Managers to schedule sessions with minimal disruption to operations.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments and on-the-floor observations.
- Champion 1Huddle, supporting site champions and monitoring engagement and results.
- Partner with Operations Leadership and People Practices to ensure alignment and accurate development tracking.
- Lead and support a small team of on-site trainers, ensuring consistency and high-quality delivery.
- Use LMS platforms to track training records and explore new digital learning tools.
- Continuously refresh content based on feedback, operational changes and new technologies.
About You:
- Experience in operational training or L&D within hospitality or another service-led industry.
- Strong operational floor experience — ideally someone who has progressed from waiter/server to supervisory or Restaurant/Duty Manager level.
- Confident delivering hands-on, floor-based training in a busy environment.
- Skilled in designing engaging, practical learning content.
- Proactive, organised and comfortable working across multiple sites.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiar with digital learning tools (LMS, 1Huddle, e-learning).
- Passionate about people development and elevating guest experience.
Benefits:
- Dine & Delight: 50% off food and beverage across all our restaurants – including takeaway.
- We’ve Got You Covered: Employee Assistance Programme, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, life assurance.
- Birthday Bonanza: Enjoy a little something from us each year to celebrate your special day.
- Share the Experience: Up to £750 through our Refer a Friend scheme.
- Moments That Matter: Gifts for Christmas, Chinese New Year, birthdays and long service.
- Grow With Us: Leadership development, certifications and international career opportunities.
- Giving Back: Charity, community and sustainability initiatives.
