About the Role:
As our Optical Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face of the practice – the first person patients see or speak to when they get in touch. You’ll play a key role in delivering a smooth and caring patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting patients and visitors with a warm, professional manner

Booking and managing appointments via our digital system

Answering phone and email enquiries efficiently

Taking payments and handling till operations

Keeping reception tidy, stocked, and patient-friendly

Updating and maintaining patient records

Supporting the optical team with administrative tasks

Occasionally assisting with frame selection or patient questions

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in a receptionist, customer service, or front-of-house role is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided

Excellent communication and people skills

Confidence using basic computer systems

Organised, dependable, and detail-oriented

Friendly, calm, and professional under pressure

An interest in optics or healthcare is a bonus

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday only – No weekends!We offer a healthy work-life balance with no evening or weekend shifts, making this role ideal for those seeking stability and flexibility.
