About the Role
Lens Category Manager is a brand-new role at Hakim Group. You’ll lead category planning and execution for Lens, supporting our practice teams to grow sales and margins via approved brands and build meaningful relationships with third parties to optimise a multi-year category plan. You’ll have the opportunity to innovate the ways we work and contribute to our continued growth. This role is Hybrid with 2 days per week at our HQ in Darwen, BB3 1AE.
You will be working closely with our practice partners and suppliers, supporting them as Lens Category Manager. Take ownership of your category by managing the approved and recommended supplier list while driving improvements. Work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to identify efficiencies, opportunities, and improvements for both practices and patients. Identify and implement projects aimed at enhancing category performance. Build meaningful relationships with third parties to develop partnership relations that hold Hakim Group customers at the forefront. Lead the development of tools and resources to enable our independent practices to optimise patient experience. Identify insights and trends related to the market, consumers, and competitors, in order to maximise margins and discover new opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll be customer-focused with great communication skills. You will have a clear understanding of the optical industry and the lens category, having previous experience in a similar role. Comfortable with building category plans and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Using your analytical skills to inform and support strategic recommendations.
