Manchester (hybrid) • Full-time • Reports to: National Account Manager

Package: Competitive base + performance bonus

Hairburst sits where beauty meets wellbeing. We design effective, habit‑forming hair growth solutions and the experiences that keep customers coming back. Clear routines, measurable results, products that earn a permanent spot in the bathroom.

We’re owner‑operators. In 2014 our founders launched Hairburst with £4k; in 2021 the brand joined a FTSE-100 group (JD Sports); in 2023 the founders bought back 100% to build the company we always wanted to run. Today you'll find us in Boots, Superdrug and Holland & Barrett, on marketplaces and DTC across nine territories, backed by a loyal community of over 1 million customers. Now we’re building the infrastructure for what comes next.

The Growth Studio brings brand, creative, performance, CRM, data, retail and marketplace into one room. Not as departments reporting up, but as collaborators solving the same problem. Weekly working sessions. One plan. Shared dashboards.

Why this role, why now:

  • We’re in Holland & Barrett, Superdrug, Druni, Notino, Sephora and a growing list of pure‑play retailers.
  • The challenge is making every one of those partnerships actually work: right pricing, right promotions, right execution in store and online, right forecasts, right stock levels.
  • We need someone who can run the operational rhythm of our retail accounts.
  • Support the National Account Manager on the big strategic relationships while owning day‑to‑day delivery on a defined set of accounts yourself.

This is a hands‑on commercial role. You’ll be across promo calendars, pricing files, planograms, POS shipments, retail media briefs and forecast trackers. You’ll coordinate with Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply, Finance and Merchandising to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

If you’re organised, commercially sharp and want to learn how retail really works from the inside, this is the role.

What you’ll own:

  • Run the rhythm. Weekly sales and forecast trackers, promo performance reviews, pricing and margin checks, customer decks.
  • Coordinate launches and promotions.
  • Work across Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply, Finance and Merchandising to land seamless execution.
  • Land retail basics. Planogram changes, stand updates, POS shipments, compliance follow‑up with merchandising partners.
  • Support e‑commerce where relevant. Content briefs, retail media asks, PDP compliance.
  • Own a subset of accounts end‑to‑end. Pricing, promo, forecasting, performance.
  • Support JBPs and trade terms. Help prepare joint business plans and trade negotiations.

What success looks like (12 months):

  • Net sales vs plan: hit or exceeded across your accounts.
  • Sell‑out growth and market share improving.
  • Flawless execution: Hairburst looks right in every store and on every site.
  • Trade spend tracked and promo performance understood.
  • Forecast accuracy strong; availability and OTIF on target.
  • For e‑comm accounts: PDP compliance, on‑site wins, retail media delivering returns.
  • NPD launched with high compliance and strong rate of sale.
  • Incremental visibility secured (end‑caps, online real‑estate) that actually paid back.

About you:

  • Organised and reliable. You run trackers, hit deadlines, follow up without being asked.
  • Commercially curious. You want to understand how retailers make money, how promos work, why some products fly and others don’t.
  • Detail‑oriented. You care about getting the small things right because you know they add up.
  • Good communicator. Clear emails, confident on calls with buyers, comfortable working across internal teams.
  • Comfortable with numbers. Excel confident. You can build a tracker, analyse promo performance, spot a margin issue.
  • Bias to action. You see a problem, you flag it or fix it.
  • Team player. You’ll work across Marketing, Supply, Finance, Merchandising.

Signals we’re looking for:

  • Some experience in retail, e‑commerce, FMCG or account management (1‑3 years ideal, but we’re open to sharp graduates).
  • Evidence you’re organised and can juggle multiple priorities.
  • Examples where you’ve coordinated across teams to deliver something.
  • Comfortable with Excel and confident learning new systems.
  • Beauty or adjacent FMCG experience is a plus, not essential.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with planograms, stand updates, POS logistics.
  • Exposure to Amazon, Lookfantastic or similar accounts.
  • Understanding of retail media basics.
  • Comfort discussing P&L levers and margins with Finance.

Apply CV + 200 words answering: "Tell us about a time you coordinated something with multiple moving parts (a launch, a project, an event) and kept it on track. What was your role and what did you learn?" Bullets are fine. Plain English. We’re looking for your thinking, not AI‑generated answers. Add your response as an appendix to your CV (single document) and submit via LinkedIn, or email to recruitment@hairburst.com. We’ll only acknowledge complete applications (CV + appendix). If you’ve taken the time to answer properly, we’ll get back to you within 48 hours.
