Haines Commercials is one of South East’s largest commercial vehicle repairers based in Manor Royal near Gatwick, growing and offering excellent career opportunities with ongoing training.

This is a full‑time, workshop‑based Workshop Technician role located in West Sussex. The successful candidate will diagnose faults, carry out repairs, perform routine maintenance, use diagnostic equipment, inspect and service commercial vehicles, and support the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the workshop. The role requires maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment, working closely with colleagues and management to ensure an efficient workflow.

Working Hours
Monday – Friday, 6:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance
  • Experience with commercial vehicles and related systems
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in automotive and workshop settings
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • A qualification in Automotive Engineering or a related field is desirable
  • A full and valid UK driving licence is required
  • Class 1 licence desirable but not essential
