Join the Team Behind Some of Britain's Most Loved Brands. At our Histon manufacturing site, we produce a range of market-leading jams, spreads and jellies enjoyed by millions of consumers every day. You'll have the opportunity to work with iconic household brands including Hartley's, Robertson's, Gale's, Sun-Pat, Frank Cooper's and many more.
We're looking for an Operational Quality Lead to join our Technical team and play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, legality and operational excellence across our manufacturing processes. This is a hands‐on role where you'll work closely with Production, Engineering, Technical and Operational teams, helping to drive quality performance while supporting continuous improvement across the site.
What You'll Be Doing
- Monitoring and maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials through to finished products.
- Monitoring manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with food safety, quality and legal requirements.
- Carrying out product testing, analytical assessments and quality inspections.
- Supporting HACCP activities, audits, investigations and corrective actions.
- Working closely with production teams to ensure products meet customer and company specifications.
- Providing technical guidance and support to operational teams.
- Reviewing work‐in‐progress and finished products to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Supporting environmental monitoring and GMP auditing activities.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, hygiene and manufacturing efficiency.
- Identifying and escalating food safety, quality and compliance concerns.
- Promoting a strong food safety and quality culture across the site.
What We're Looking For
- Someone who is passionate about food quality and enjoys working in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience working within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- A strong understanding of food safety, quality systems and GMP standards.
- Experience conducting quality checks, product assessments and process monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and build relationships across teams.
- A proactive approach to problem‐solving and continuous improvement.
- The confidence to challenge when standards are not being met and drive corrective action.
