Our client is a leading packaging machinery supplier, and due to their continued success, Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Sales Manager. This is a home-based role, and you will be targeting new client sales and expansion of existing business in the Central and South West UK.
The Role:
- The Sales Manager will be responsible for promoting machinery sales to customers throughout the South West and Central UK.
- Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Sales and business development activities including prospecting, sales calls, and marketing work as required.
- Liaise with external clients and internal technical teams to establish and specify machinery suitable for customer requirements.
- Undertake client visits and machine demonstrations.
- Attend product/trade exhibitions & events.
- Provide regular sales activity reports to directors.
Candidate:
We are seeking candidates who have a proven track record in sales of packaging and/or other automated machinery. You must have experience in selling to the food & FMCG manufacturing sectors. Applicants will have previous sales/technical sales experience and good knowledge of packaging machinery. You will have sufficient technical or engineering knowledge required to engage professionally with existing and new potential clients. You will display all the interpersonal qualities associated with a successful sales professional. This is a home-based field sales role, and you will be expected to undertake occasional European travel.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
