Our client is a leading supplier of vehicle wash machinery. We are seeking an electrical bias field engineer who will undertake machine installations, maintenance and repair work throughout the North of England.
Salary: £40 K – £44 K + OT + Van + Bonus OTE £48 K – £50 K
The Role: The field engineer will be responsible for electrical and mechanical installation, service and repair of commercial vehicle wash equipment.
- Assist with vehicle wash machinery installation and commissioning
- 3‑phase electrical installations and fault finding and repair (e.g., control panels, motors, sensors, relays, etc.)
- Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repair work
- Undertake scheduled planned maintenance checks
- Ensure accurate visit reports, including details of work undertaken/completed, are recorded on the computer system
Qualifications: You will be a competent engineer with excellent 3‑phase electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair skills. Ideally you will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering (e.g., 18th edition). Applicants with previous work experience with vehicle wash systems would be beneficial but not essential, as training will be given. You will be computer literate and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable with working outdoors and occasionally staying away from home.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 45 hours + OT
