Our client is a leading supplier of commercial vehicle wash systems and due to their continued success, Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.
The field service engineer will undertake field installation, maintenance, and repair work on vehicle wash equipment throughout Northern England.
The Role
Reporting to the service manager, you will be responsible for mechanical and basic 3-phase electrical service and repair of commercial vehicle wash equipment.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with vehicle wash machinery installation and commissioning
- Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repair work
- Undertake scheduled planned maintenance checks
- Ensure accurate visit reports, including details of work undertaken/completed, are recorded on the computer system
Candidate
You will be a competent engineer with good mechanical and basic 3-phase electrical fault finding and repair skills.
Ideally, you will have a recognised qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, and previous work experience with vehicle wash systems, industrial cleaning equipment, or pressure wash systems is essential.
You will be computer literate and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be comfortable with working outdoors.
