Our client is a very successful distributor of woodworking machinery and due to their continued success, Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical & electrical maintenance, service and repair of woodworking machinery at customer sites throughout South East England.
- Mechanical maintenance activities: removal and replacement of broken and worn component parts such as chains, sprockets, linear bearings and ball screws.
- Carry out fault find and repair work on pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Electrical fault find and repair on motors, servos and 415 v and 24 v circuits (ability to read electrical wiring drawings is essential).
- Machine installation & commissioning.
Candidate:
The successful candidate will have excellent mechanical engineering skills and 3‑phase electrical fault find and repair skills. Previous experience with woodworking machinery will be advantageous, however full training will be given. You will demonstrate good customer service and communication skills and you will be of a friendly disposition.
