HAIL Partners is working with a global, dynamic investment firm who are looking for a HR Manager for a 13 month FTC. The role covers everything HR ex-US, with a London team of c.50 people in the UK and smaller headcounts across Europe. They are looking for a pure generalist who can work closely with senior Partners/leaders in the London office.

Role overview:

  • Overseeing the UK/European HR function
  • Employee Relations, recruitment, performance reviews and HR projects
  • Training — some delivered in-house, some outsourced
  • HR reporting, system audits and management
  • Visible, relationship-led partnering with the business through regular check-ins
  • Managing a HR Coordinator and Office Manager

Given the size of the team, the role spans the full spectrum of HR — from strategic partnering through to the operational and administrative work that supports it. Candidates should be entirely comfortable operating across both.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of HR experience, ideally from a consulting background, or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of the full HR lifecycle
  • Used to smaller, fast-moving businesses where guidance is light and the picture changes weekly
  • Calm in chaos, someone who brings structure, logic and steady energy
  • Adaptable, pragmatic, self-sufficient, and unfazed by ambiguity
