We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Financial Reporting and Control team in Birchwood, initially covering a 3‑month FTC. This is a great opportunity to build your accounting career in a collaborative environment, gaining experience across financial reporting, treasury, and cash flow.

In this role, you’ll support accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and treasury activities across UK and Irish entities. Working closely with the finance team, you’ll help ensure financial data is reliable and delivered on time, while developing towards ownership of key accounting areas.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting VAT returns, statutory reporting, and audit activities
  • Assisting with payments, bank reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting
  • Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month‑end
  • Supporting fixed asset accounting and financial controls
  • Contributing to reporting, system improvements, and ad‑hoc analysis

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a finance or accounting role (e.g. Assistant Accountant, AP/AR, Treasury)
  • Exposure to month‑end or financial processes
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Good Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Willingness to learn and develop accounting expertise
