Haich Recruitment is working with an established precision engineering business in East Lancashire looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer with strong Mazak and Mazatrol experience. This is not a basic operator position. We are looking for someone capable of programming Mazak CNC turning centres from scratch using Mazatrol, as well as independently setting, operating and seeing a job through to a finished component within specification.
Key requirements:
- Strong Mazak CNC turning experience
- Able to programme from scratch using Mazatrol
- Confident independently setting and operating
- Able to work from engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, feeds and speeds
- Experience producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Confident using micrometers, verniers and other inspection equipment
- Experience with longer components / steady-rest work advantageous but not essential
The role:
- Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC turning centres
- Producing precision machined components from engineering drawings
- Selecting and setting tooling and machining parameters
- Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection
- Making adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy
- Working across varied precision engineering work
Package:
- £35,000–£40,000 DOE
- Overtime available
