With in‑house engineering capability and full HV/LV project delivery, we support major mining operations across Australia. We specialise in underground mining electrical infrastructure, switchrooms, substations, drill rigs, communications, and project work across surface and underground operations.
About the Role: This is primarily a Perth‑based workshop role located in High Wycombe, with a mix of workshop work, project deployment, and site coverage as required. You’ll be involved in the manufacture, repair, testing, and commissioning of mining electrical equipment including underground panels, substations, MCCs, underground drill rigs, and associated infrastructure. The role also includes periodic FIFO/DIDO project and relief work across WA mine sites, providing excellent exposure to mining operations and the opportunity to develop practical mining industry experience. No two days are the same. Our team values variety, strong culture, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workshop manufacture, repair, and testing of mining electrical equipment
- Build and maintain underground panels, substations, MCCs, and underground drill rigs
- Site‑based project work across WA mine sites (FIFO/DIDO as required)
- Installation of HV/LV cabling, switchgear, and associated infrastructure
- Site relief coverage across surface and underground mining operations
- Fault finding, maintenance, and testing activities
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality standards
What We’re Looking For:
- WA Electrical Workers Licence (essential)
- Electrical experience in commercial, industrial, construction, or maintenance environments
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work across both workshop and site environments
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Senior First Aid & CPR/LVR
- Police Clearance (within 12 months)
- Working at Heights
Highly Regarded:
- Mining or heavy industry experience
- HV switching qualification
- EWP & Confined Space
- Experience with underground mining equipment or infrastructure
A pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screen will form part of the recruitment process.
