About the role

We're looking for a proactive and driven Bid Team Leader to lead our Sales Coordination team and play a key role in supporting our ambitious sales growth. Reporting to the Head of UK Sales, you'll be responsible for leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team while ensuring exceptional support is delivered to our Area Sales Managers and customers. Working across departments, you'll help coordinate project and sales activities, predominantly within the area of tender bid management, completion and submission, whilst improving processes and ensuring our customers receive an outstanding experience at every stage of their journey. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys balancing people management, operational excellence and customer service, while thriving in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading, coaching and developing the Sales Coordination team to create a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Managing team workloads and priorities to ensure customer expectations and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Conducting regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and development conversations.
  • Acting as the first point of escalation for complex customer queries and operational challenges.
  • Monitoring team performance, reporting on key metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, consistency and customer satisfaction.
  • Supporting the sales function through the preparation of quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
  • Coordinating communication between Sales, Design and Contracts Delivery teams to ensure successful project handovers.
  • Working with your immediate team and wider internal stakeholders to identify and implement further enhancements to the tendering and bid cycle, and the quality and presentation of output in order to support increased conversion of the tendered sales pipeline.
  • Providing administrative and logistical support to Area Sales Managers to help maximise sales performance.
  • Working collaboratively with Marketing and other departments to support commercial objectives and business growth.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Love leading and developing people — you enjoy coaching others, building capability and creating a positive, high-performing team culture.
  • Stay organised when managing multiple priorities — you can balance competing deadlines, coordinate activities and keep projects moving without compromising quality or customer service.
  • Take ownership and drive improvements — you're proactive in identifying opportunities, solving problems and implementing more efficient ways of working.
  • Build strong relationships across teams and with customers — you communicate confidently, collaborate effectively and enjoy being the link between people, projects and departments.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, results-focused environment — you're motivated by achieving goals, making decisions and delivering exceptional support that helps drive business performance.

Why HAGS?

You’ll be joining a supportive, collaborative team that values your ideas, appreciates your people skills, and trusts you to bring your best. We’re committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can thrive and grow. If you’re a people-focused multitasker with strong communication skills and a passion for getting things right, this could be a brilliant next step in your career.
