This post is suitable for an experienced teacher who is passionate about leading and delivering the highest quality of education and pastoral care for students at Key Stage 5. The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to the teaching and development of post 16 learning and would be committed to attaining the best outcomes across the whole of KS5.
Leading the personal development and wellbeing and extracurricular life of the Sixth Form is integral to the post, as is leading and managing our Higher Education, Apprenticeships and Oxbridge programmes, with many students currently securing Oxbridge, Russell Group Universities and Degree Level Apprenticeships post 18.
The Sixth Form team is comprised of an Assistant Head of Sixth Form, a Sixth Form Administrator and 6 tutors/mentors, in addition to this post. The Sixth Form also has its own dedicated block with a large modern common room and study centre, and café for KS5 only.
Hagley Catholic Sixth Form has a role of circa 170 students which we wish to grow. The curriculum is predominantly A levels with some Level 3 courses. The academic outcomes are high, averaging grade B- for the last 2 years, which places us as one of the top 3 best performing Sixth Forms in Worcestershire. As a Catholic Sixth Form, we pride ourselves on inclusivity with many students joining us from different faiths.
